The same route from Limerick to Dublin is also done on the R445.

      Bus Eiréann operates services from Limerick to Dublin Airport called the X12/12 which stops off in Nenagh approximately every two hours, passing through Limerick, Dublin, Nenagh, Roscrea and Portlaoise. They also operate a service from Tralee to Athlone called the 72 which stops in Nenagh three times a day.

      JJ Kavanaghs operate a service from Shannon Airport to Dublin Airport which stops off in Nenagh. While this journey takes longer, it stops off at more stops which might interest people such as [wiki=78fc1204d89d3e422a0bbf48ae2f09e0]Moneygall[/wiki], where Barack Obama's ancestors came from.

    Nenagh Castle, is a 13th century castle which has undergone restoration and is now open to the public.

    * Friary, is a ruined 13th Century Friary church in the town center was once the principal friary in Ireland. It carries a fading memorial erected with great solemnity in the 1070s to martyrs allegedly killed in Cromwellian times. Later it was discovered the whole story was a 19th century hoax!

    * Banba Square, is the towns main square. It is named on account of the legend that the Goddess Eiru (or Ireland) appeared to Amergin leader of the Milesians in the form of Banba of the herds near where the town now stands to bless the milesian celts in their enterprise to take over Ireland. It is dominated by the mid 19th century Doric Magnificence of the recently restored County Courthouse complete with a (slender) bronze statue of lady justice on the pediment. She replaces her portly predecessor who had to be removed in the late 19th century as she was causing cracks in the stonework!

    * Nenagh Town Jail & North Tipperary Genealogy Center is in the town. It has the remains of the old jail in Nenagh, which is no longer in use and also avails of genealogical services, so if you wish to find out about your North Tipperary ancestors, this is the center to do it in. It is free of charge.

    The town prospered in the 19th century and consists of the Church of Ireland (protestant/episcopal) and Roman Catholic Communities erected highly regarded Gothic masterpieces of their time. Much of the town has well proportioned buildings albeit somewhat disfigured by modern shopfronts and signage.

    Nenagh Castle is open from April to November on Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 16:30. Tours are available in English and Polish.

    There are many shops in Nenagh, filling up "Pearse Street". There are many shops from bookshops to clothes shops to restaurants.

    Nenagh Town Park was recently opened and has a nice minature park along with a swimming pool. The park is opened during daylight hours.

    One of the best delicatessens in County Tipperary is Country Choice located on Kenyon Street. The farmers market is on every Saturday on Kenyon Street also which has a selection of local craft to food.

    There are places in Nenagh to eat that can be several things. Nenagh has several Chinese and Italian, an Indian and fast food restaurants. During the day-time visit Café-Q located on Kenyon Street. Many pubs in Nenagh often serve food until 9PM, so if you want a bit more traditional feel go to a pub. If you just want some fast food there are places to tickle your taste buds including Supermacs and Mama Pizzeria's, both on Pearse Street.
